We are pleased to announce that Ludlum Measurements, Inc. successfully completed a series of audits and reviews by ABS-Quality Evaluations, and has thereby been registered to ISO 9001:2008 certification (Registration Certificate No. 50745).

ISO is the International Organization for Standards, an international group that seeks to promote a meaningful and consistent global standard for industry and trade. The name generates different initials depending on which of the official languages, English, French, or Russian, is being employed. The initialism for English is ISO, and that is how we will refer to the organization here.

Evaluations are performed by independent third-party organizations that are themselves accredited by various boards and institutions. ABS-QE holds accreditation from ANAB (ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board –USA), and CNCA (Certification and Accreditation Administration – China), among others. Thorough and exhaustive investigations into every corner of the business may take many years to complete, and so we are quite justifiably proud of this notable accomplishment.

Certification commits a company to delineated procedures for design, manufacture, and quality control practices, among others, with prescribed follow-up routines for issues such as defects or deficiencies. Among the tangible benefits of certification are a consistent, world-wide standard developed by experts in the industry or industries. International trade is facilitated when technical specifications can be consistently measured, described, and compared. The scope of ISO certification encompasses more than just the production of finished goods: purchasing, packaging, shipping, handling, and customer service are included, too. By gaining and maintaining a third-party certification that ensures a pledge to those measurable standards, Ludlum Measurements, Inc. provides an additional layer of customer confidence in its products and services.

Of course Ludlum Measurements has diligently worked to improve both processes and products since its inception in 1962, but the ISO certification will ensure that those who are not yet our customers will understand our fierce commitment to a higher standard of quality in all aspects of our business. As a vertically integrated company we seek to apply rigorous quality standards throughout the manufacturing process. The issuance of our ISO certificate declares that commitment to the world.
